Jeff Maydosz, Senior Associate
A 26-year Navy veteran, Jeff brings years of leadership experience in fleet readiness, training, and surface warfare operations and has over ten years of experience as a project/program manager, defense analyst, budget, financial, and strategic planner serving in a variety of operational, and senior executive positions. With Cowan & Associates, Inc. (C&A) he is currently supporting the United States Navy with his work on the OPNAV staff as a senior analyst for OPNAV N805 Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy (SCN) Appropriation Manager providing support to the Branch Head in all facets of the 30-year shipbuilding plan, development of the SCN funding plan for each POM, management of the inactive ships program, and Congressional action relating to shipbuilding.
Prior to joining C&A, he had multiple management and consulting assignments including as a senior consultant to the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and his immediate staff (Executive Director and Chief of Staff) in all aspects of research, development, production, acquisition and life cycle support of integrated warfare systems for Navy ships and as a senior consultant to the DD(X) Program Manager (PMS500), providing executive, analytical and management support to the DD(X) Program Manager, the PMS (500) staff and the OPNAV resource sponsor while supporting PMS 500 throughout program development to include: preparation and submission of the Acquisition Strategy, Award Fee Evaluation Boards, and Defense Acquisition Boards. Jeff also served as a senior consultant at the US Joint Forces Command, Joint Experimentation Directorate (J9), Operations Division providing direct support to the Director. The J9 Directorate developed, explored, tested, and validated 21st-century warfighting concepts.
Jeff served in a variety of assignments during his career in the United States Navy including Commanding Officer of the USS Harry E Yarnell (CG 17) and USS Deyo (DD 989) and various assignments on Cruiser-Destroyer Group, Destroyer Squadron and Type Commander staffs and a variety of shipboard assignments.
Jeff received his BS from the United States Naval Academy, a Masterís in Public Administration from George Washington University and is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF).
